With the most common bath waste being the standard plug and chain bath waste, this design of bath waste features a plug attached to the end of a chain which is attached to an overflow grate that slots into a pre-drilled overflow hole in the bath. These baths wastes are usually supplied with a plug, chain and overflow pipe. A more technical type of bath waste is a combined bath filler, a perfect option for more modern bathtubs as they create a much more minimalistic look. These bath wastes allow the bath to be filled with water without using a traditional tap. A bath filler is usually fitted into a baths overflow hole and the pop up bath waste turns to open and close the waste, meaning it’s very simple to use. This specific type of bath waste requires a deck or wall mounted bath filler, making it a great component for modern inset baths. For a very luxurious bath a push button bath waste is the best option, this design operates by pushing down a button to allow the bath to fill, then to drain the bath you push the button again.

If you’re looking for a bath waste to go with a more traditional bath such as a roll top or slipper bath then an exposed bath waste will be best suited. Exposed bath wastes usually have a plug and chain however with modern technology these have evolved and are now sometimes available as a pop-up mechanism. Instead of the bath waste pipe running within the bath it runs outside and conceals the overflow pipe which connects to the waste.
