Product Information
GRS Slate is very popular in gardens, pathways, and much more. As slate chippings are quite flat, they settle and compact nicely underfoot. Our slate is a by-product of roof tile manufacture and as such is classed as a recycled material, which means it is more environmentally sound than some other quarried stones.
Slate chippings are often used as a mulch on borders, between plants and gardens to eliminate weed growth and also keep moisture retained in the soil during warm spells. It is typically used in Borders, Ponds, Rockeries, Flower Beds.
